All Nippon Airways (ANA) is the largest airline in Japan and the 5th biggest airline in the world with an award-winning reputation for quality and luxury. I’ve worked with ANA for over 8 years producing countless pieces of digital, strategic and print projects. Covering all aspects of ANA’s EMEA marketing (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), worked has included epic-sized billboards, airport takeovers, new route launches and everything in between both online and offline.
We Are Japan
In 2018, Kemosabe launched We Are Japan, a cross-platform destination campaign celebrating the trends, traditions and hidden gems that only locals know. I developed a flexible design system to support the new brand positioning across twelve languages and regions, ensuring it could adapt year-round.
Inspired by ANA's rhombus, I created a simple visual device that revealed hidden local stories and showcased the authentic experiences only ANA could bring to life.
The Room
To launch ANA's new Business Class seat, the largest in the sky, we secured the biggest billboard space available. Displayed across the London Underground at full scale, the campaign gave commuters a true sense of just how spacious it really was.
New routes
Working as part of the Kemosabe team, we helped ANA grow internationally four times faster than its closest competitor, expanding its EMEA network from one route to eight. As new destinations launched, we developed promotional campaigns to support each one, creating everything from immersive event assets and full tram takeovers to localised print materials.
